Ingolstadt - more than the city of AUDI and fossil oil. In the Danube valley you can find lots of archaeological treasures. Some of them can be seen in the Municipal Museum Ingolstadt. Ingolstadt is characterized by the medieval residence and the Bavarian country fortress. Famous savants came into the city because of the Bavarian university.
In the exhibition you can see the Bernstein-Collier (amber collier) from the Bronze Age, which was one of the most famous findings in Europe from this age. Furthermore a city model from the Middle Ages takes you back in time by watching the old alleys. To name a third importand sample, you shouldn't miss the gray horse Swede King Gustav Adolf sat on when trying to grab the city in the 30-Year War.
